Disorders of both bleeding and clotting are unique hematological problems that can be serious and need to be monitored closely.

Bleeding disorders include diseases that may be congenital (those that you are born with) or acquired later in life. There are many reasons why bleeding is unable to be controlled. Usually there is a problem with the clotting system in the body. Someone in your family can often have the same disease. To stop bleeding we use “replacement therapy.”
Prof. Inbal has expertise in diagnosing, treating, managing, and preventing complications of these bleeding disorders.

Clotting disorders occur because of hypercoagulation. This means that blood that is supposed to move through your body, clots. If it clots in a vessel, it is called a thrombosis. If the clot breaks up and travels to another place, this is called an embolism, such as people who develop strokes. Clotting disorders can be genetic or acquired throughout life. To dissolve clots “anticoagulation therapy.” is used. The anticoagulation treatment can help to manage and prevent excessive and recurrent clotting
